Impacting Lives: Key Highlights
Over the past 3 years, Hurdle has been dedicated to making a positive impact for parents at risk of recurrent care proceedings.
We are proud to report that we have reached 126 families, offering vital support and guidance to help families make positive changes in their lives.
Our success stories to date:
Rehabilitation Success: 9 children have been successfully rehabilitated back into their parents’ care after being placed in long-term foster care.
Preventing Separation: Over half of the families referred during pregnancy, who were at risk of having their babies removed at birth, have avoided separation. These families are now completely closed to the Local Authority due to a significant reduction in child protection concerns.
Empowering Parents: Feedback from our parents has been overwhelmingly positive. 100% feel listened to and heard, 93% feel better able to trust others, and 90% report improved confidence and knowledge of how to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
